WhatsApp’s Video Calls Will Soon Make You Look Better
Exciting New Updates for WhatsApp Video Calls
WhatsApp is set to make video calls even more appealing with upcoming features designed to enhance your appearance and add a variety of customization options. While WhatsApp frequently updates its main chatting interface, this time the Meta-owned app is focusing on improving its video calling experience by introducing more than 10 new filters and backgrounds, including a beauty filter.
Personalize Your Video Calls with Backgrounds and Filters
These updates offer users the ability to personalize their
video calls like never before. You can choose from several virtual backgrounds
to replace your real-time environment, including scenes such as a cozy living
room, a professional office, or even a beach setting. If you're not interested
in changing your background, WhatsApp also provides 10 different filters to
tweak the visual tone of your video. These filters range from warm and cool
tones to more creative options like black & white and frosted glass,
allowing you to enhance the overall aesthetic of your call.
For those participating in professional video calls, where a
full virtual background might seem inappropriate, WhatsApp offers a blur
option. This feature subtly obscures your real-life background, making it
easier to hide any distractions or clutter behind you. Other background options
include more vibrant scenes like a café, pebbles, foodie themes, beach sunsets,
and even celebratory environments.
In terms of filters, WhatsApp is stepping up the creativity
with options such as light leak, dreamy, prism light, fisheye, vintage TV, and
duotone, ensuring that every user finds something to match their style or mood.
Additionally, the highly anticipated "Touch Up" feature works like
the beauty filters commonly found on social media platforms and some Android
phones, designed to smooth out skin blemishes and reduce wrinkles for a more
polished look.
For video calls in poorly lit environments, WhatsApp
introduces a "Low Light" option that automatically brightens the
scene, ensuring clear visibility even in dim lighting. The Touch Up and Low
Light features work seamlessly alongside the filters and virtual backgrounds,
giving users the flexibility to use them together.
These new background and filter options are available for
both group and individual video calls. WhatsApp has already started rolling out
these features globally, and it’s only a matter of time before everyone can
enjoy the upgraded video calling experience.
